Danny King Is Rider Of The Season
The Ipswich Witches Supporters' Club held their annual end of season dinner/dance on Saturday, 24th October, at the St Elizabeth Hotel in Copdock.
Chris Louis thanked fans, riders, track staff, website editors and all other volunteers for continuing to give the Witches their time and support throughout the 2009 season. He also confirmed that the team would be racing in the Elite League again in 2010.
He then thanked the supporters club for organising the evening and said they were by far the best supporters club in the whole country.
All members of the 2009 team were present at the event apart from Tobi Kroner (who was supporting his fellow speedway rider, Sönke Petersen, who was paralysed in a crash at a meeting in Germany earlier in the year), and Scott Nicholls who was suffering from a virus.
Ipswich promoter, John Louis, received a special award to mark his 40 years in the sport this year. For more information on this remarkable achievement please visit this website: John Louis - 40 Years
