Full Strength Witches Beat Bees

The Ipswich Witches have avenged their opening league defeat of the season at Foxhall by defeating the Coventry Bees in the 'B' fixture at Foxhall tonight.

Two exciting last heats were on the cards after the visitors had restricted the Witches to a 4 point lead with two races left. The Witches were looking to wrap up the match in heat 14 but the Coventry star Eddie Kennett had other ideas coming from third to first to force a last heat decider, where a 0-5 would have seen the Witches defeated.

Jarek Hampel gated for victory and with the previously unbeaten, by an opposition rider, Tobi Kroner passing former Witches team mate Rory Schlein the Witches had achieved a 6 point victory.
