New Track A Big Hit With Witches

Following the club’s practise day on Tuesday at the newly shaped Foxhall circuit the Witches riders were unanimous in their praise for the new track. Club captain Danny King:”Honestly, it’s absolutely brilliant. The lines you are going to be able to pull all over the track are fantastic. The racing is going to be so much better and the fans are in for a treat with some great speedway this season.” Witches number one Scott Nicholls who knows the Foxhall track better than most also heaped praise on the changes: “The racing is going to be so much better, I think the fans are going to love it”.

Witches fans get their first chance to see their new team in action on the revamped Foxhall track tomorrow (Thursday) evening at 7.45 in a challenge match against near neighbours and fierce rivals the Lakeside Hammers. The Essex’ outfit’s wily boss Jon Cook will doubtless be hoping to exploit the Witches lack of home advantage on the new circuit in order to get the psychological upper hand prior to the new league season and to wipe out memories of an unexpected drubbing at Wolverhampton last Monday in the first leg of the Elite Leg Shield.
