Witches Make Two Changes
Ipswich Speedway have released Oliver Allen and Carl Wilkinson from their line-up and they will be replaced by Chris Slabon and Kozza Smith.
Speedway Director Chris Louis: "I'm sorry that it hasn't worked out for Olly and Carl but we couldn't just let the situation slide given our league position. We wish them both well and hope that they are soon fixed up elsewhere".
Chris Slabon was born in Poland but moved to Canada at an early age. He comes from a speedway family with father Robert and grandfather Adolf both former riders. Chris is an Ipswich asset and last rode for the Witches in 2002. Since then he has been riding regularly in both the Polish and Swedish leagues. He recently won the Welsh Open Championship held at Newport on July 11th.
Kozza Smith was due to double up with the Witches last season but was prevented from doing so by injury. He will continue to ride for King's Lynn in the Premier League where his average has risen to 7.03 this season.
