Witches Slip Up Against Swindon

The Ipswich Witches started this meeting well and had built up a twelve point lead after six heats. They then started to go backwards and ended up losing the meeting against the Swindon Robins by one point. For the home team Scott Nicholls and skipper Danny King both scored what is expected of them and Olly Allen gave them good support. However Robert Miskowiak only scored one point, appearing to struggle with bike problems in his first heat and then fell in his second. As ever the well prepared track provided a high standard of racing for the fans but didn't produce the much needed home win.

After the meeting John Louis said "I am very disappointed with this result especially as most of the team performed well but they were let down by a rider that should have been capable of scoring eight+ points on his home track. When Robert's bike played up before his first heat he was offered his spare bike and another one that had been warmed up by Chris Louis - he declined both and had to pull up after only a lap due to a cutout problem. He then appeared non responsive to encouragement and advice from both his team mates and the management team - this poor attitude potentially cost us three league points tonight!"
