Witches Struggle In T V Clash
The Witches slumped to a disappointing defeat in Manchester to the Belle Vue Aces in the Monday night TV clash on SKY last night. Despite a positive start with No 1 Scott Nichols winning heat 1 the remainder of the Witches struggled to backup Nicholls and skipper Danny King whom scored most of the Witches points on the night.
Witches assets Tobias Kroner and Leigh Lanham, who are riding for the Aces this season scored well against their parent club to compound the misery for Witches fans.
Team manager Pete Simmons introduced tactical rides in an effort to stem the deficit but the Witches were unable to make any inroads on the home side's dominance eventually succumbing to an 18 point deficit.
